Forest Bathing

I grew up exploring the neighborhood woods; now the forest inspires my art and also my work as a certified guide with ANFT, the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.

My path to becoming a guide began when I was 5. That’s when I started exploring the woods for hours, both with family or friends and on my own. You never know what you might find when you cross the threshold and step under the trees.

At ANFT, we have a saying:

“The forest is the therapist; the guide opens the doors.”

Our relaxing practice is a wellness experience that builds on the many proven health benefits of Shinrin-Yoku (“Forest Bathing”) while also encouraging deeper and more relational connections with the rest of nature, whether in a forest, park, garden, or other natural setting.

Experience it for yourself by joining me for a Forest Bathing Walk. Feel free to contact me at elizabeth@elizabethsanford.com with any questions or to schedule a private walk or Art & Nature experience.
